My N800 email clients is F'ed too, I just have a simple gmail imap account and it freezes and is basically unusable.

It's possible, this is one of those big complaints I have about Maemo. You'd think this would be a priority with the peeps at Nokia! They just need to allocate the programmers to get it done.
Releasing open source software for the community to develop is great but you still need a core group to develop the really useful stuff that might take a while for the community to develop.

Tethering is nice, I have it on 3G as well. But sucks the living daylights out of the battery of the phone will full on 3G, Bluetooth on!

Getting a car mount might help out the N800's case... If I'm at home or work I have a PC or laptop nearby. I have used it a few times for internet radio, for example when i am working outside, and that's been nice. I have my cell phone to do that too but the battery doesn't last as long.
